The Etymology Of A ProtestIn 2020, we have seen two movements: the push to wear personal protective equipment due to COVID-19, and the push to reform the criminal justice system due to to death of George Floyd. These two issues regarding health and humanitarian rights have been highly debated and divisive. Yet, why do such fundamental ideals have to be protested in the first place? In this documentary, directed by Emma VandenEinde, Nicole Shinn and Alexis Young, we dive into the question of why groups tend to make issues "political" and how we can work to bring our country back together.
